The Area
Bar Harbor
While private and wooded, Kebo View 1 and 2 are both less than a mile from downtown Bar Harbor. Here guests will find the town movie theater; the free Island Explorer shuttle; multiple churches; and dozens of shops, galleries, restaurants, and cafés.
Acadia National Park and the Island
Mount Desert Island, the Atlantic Coast, Acadia National Park, the coastal village of Bar Harbor—this is where you find Kebo View. The mountains truly meet the sea here, creating one of the most spectacular settings on the entire East Coast. Both Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park provide an array of activities from challenging to restful. The waves at Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, and Otter Cliffs are spectacular; and the sunrises from Cadillac Mountain are world famous. For runners and bikers, there are 55 miles of car-free carriage roads that lace their way through Acadia National Park, providing views of crystal clear lakes, spectacular mountains, and the bold granite coast.
By Land or by Sea
For a quick tour of the park, take a bus or trolley tour and learn about the history of Mount Desert Island. For those who have their sea legs, Bar Harbor has multiple nature cruises and whale watches. Those who are more adventurous can rent a kayak or canoe and explore the islands around Bar Harbor. Or, charter a sailboat for the day and let a captain guide your way through the inlets and harbors that make Mount Desert Island unique. Whether you want to relax or test your limits, Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are waiting for you.
